Batanga Media wins by being the most voted brand in the content provider category

Batanga Media today announced that it was named the Top Content Provider to Hispanic Audiences at the 2015 Portada Hispanic Advertising and Media Conference. Thousands of votes were cast by Portada’s audience to select the winners in eight award categories.

Batanga Media connects with Hispanic audiences through social content that reinforces identity and sparks curiosity. It has a monthly average of 70 million users, producing 5,000 pieces of content per month, which is more than 150 pieces daily, while utilizing cutting-edge tools to gauge audience engagement in real-time. In the last 12 months, the company has worked with more than 50 brands to develop more than 60 content campaigns. Batanga Media’s two properties – Batanga.com and iMujer.com – have organically grown their audiences by a combined 168 percent in that 12-month period. iMujer.com is currently the #1 Spanish-language lifestyle site in the U.S.

“We are excited about this recognition. Being chosen by industry colleagues validates what we do every day,” said Rafael Urbina, chairman and CEO at Batanga Media. “The advertising and media industries are becoming more digital, complex and diverse than ever. There is an increasing need for branded content and we are helping brands adapt to the market shift by developing content that serves as the connection between brands and consumers.”

Batanga Studios, a division of Batanga Media that is committed to the growth of video within the digital space, has produced branded video content for companies in several industries, including various consumer goods and electronics.. Nearly 80% of Batanga Media users access content through mobile devices and the majority of its traffic is coming from social media channels. This growth is a direct result of the company’s year-long focus to create content that is not only relevant and authentic to its audiences, but also inherently social and shareable. In doing so, the company has been able to successfully publish and distribute content to millions of Hispanics through social platforms.

Portada’s Hispanic Advertising and Media Awards reward excellence and professionalism in marketing campaigns, media properties and marketing and media professionals. The nominees and winners were both chosen by audience votes and an award jury.
